Training and Coaching
Are your staff properly trained to do their jobs efficiently and effectively?  An organisation is only as good as the people who work within it.  Properly trained employees can reduce lead times, remove in-efficiencies, improve morale and increase profits.  The correct training programme can also unlock the potential of employees, whilst increasing efficiency, motivation and a sense of achievement.

Good quality training has direct and measurable links to the financial well being of your company.  Productivity usually increases by 22% following the implementation of an appropriate training programme (International Personnel Management Association reseach 1997).  In order for maximum benefits to be achieved a Training Needs Analysis should be carried out in order to tailor the training to the needs of the company and it's employees.  Dependent on the size and nature of the organisation this does not have to be a costly analysis and yet it can save thousands in the long term.

The benefits of training can be greatly enhanced implementing a combined training and coaching programme.  This strategy can increase productivity to the region of 88% (International Personnel Management Association research 1997).  That's interesting to know but what exactly is coaching and how can it help you?  Well Albert Einstein believed that insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."  As it had not been invented, Einstein would never have heard of Coaching.  However, I think that he would have appreciated a key aspect of a coach's approach to the challenges people face.

Time and time again I explain to clients "if you always do the same thing you will get the same results.  If you want different results, do something different."  Coaching of individuals can help increase motivation, loyalty and job satisfaction, whilst including an element of coaching into a training programme greatly increases the retention of newly learnt skills and their future application.

The benefits of coaching are harder to measure and quantify, however, they still have a great impact on the success of the company.  These intangible benefits include greater job satisfaction, increased staff morale and a reduction in staff turn over.
